Penicuik Hunter's Lass 2011 - Adele Munro
I have lived in Penicuik since entering the world on 30th September 1969 and am one of five children born to William and Diana Saunders. I married Stuart in 1990 and have two children, Cameron (18) and Caitlin (15). I attended Mauricewood Primary School then Penicuik High School.
On leaving school I worked at Scottish & Newcastle Brewery for 14 years, and then worked for Halifax Building Society and Lloyds TSB as a Personal Accounts Manager before changing career in 2002 and becoming a nurse. I now work as a Community Staff Nurse in Dalkeith and a Practice Nurse in Loanhead.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising, spending time with my horses, going to the gym and recently running. I am also Treasurer for Eskmill Football Club.
I am honoured and proud to have been chosen as this year’s Penicuik Hunter’s Lass and I am looking forward to representing Penicuik at other common rides and learning their local traditions.
